In addition to her clinical work, May brings a creative touch through her custom pottery service —Maple Dream—combining her love for functional art with her therapy expertise to craft beautiful, adaptive pieces that empower people in their daily routines. She also delivers education and consultancy to stakeholders and sharing evidence-based insights that elevate care and spark innovation across the sector.
Through Maple Life, May is redefining what it means to support people holistically—blending empathy, skill, and creativity to help others live life on their own terms.

Maple Dream was born from a simple but powerful idea: that everyday items—like mugs, bowls, and plates—shouldn’t just be functional, they should also be beautiful, personal, and inclusive. As an occupational therapist, the founder of Maple Life saw firsthand how standard feeding aids often looked clinical and uninspiring.
So, she merged her clinical expertise with her love for handmade pottery to create Maple Dream—a space where art meets function. Every piece is thoughtfully designed to reflect the client’s personality, support their specific needs, and promote dignity, joy, and participation in daily life. It’s therapy you can hold—and a philosophy that celebrates the true heart of occupational therapy: meaningful, person-centered living.
